Code of Conduct:

Protecting Youth from Sexual Abuse & Molestation

As a representative of The Friends of Foster Care (TFFC), I commit to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism in all interactions with youth.

Organization
I will:
- Maintain professional boundaries with all youth.
- Meet with youth in open, visible, and interruptible spaces whenever possible.
- Report immediately any suspicion, disclosure, or evidence of sexual abuse, molestation, or exploitation to Child Protective Services/law enforcement and the TFFC Chief Executive Officer and/or President.
- Cooperate fully with investigations and support the well-being of youth.
- Treat all children and young people with dignity, respect, and fairness.
I Will Not:
- Engage in any form of sexual, romantic, or exploitative behavior with youth.
- Use inappropriate or sexual language, jokes, or innuendo around youth.
- Have secretive communications (including texts, DMs, or social media) with youth.
- Access or share sexually explicit materials with or around youth.
- Retaliate against any person who makes a good-faith report of abuse.
Acknowledgement
- I have read and understood the Friends of Foster Care Sexual and Molestation Abuse Code of Conduct. I agree to comply fully with these standards and understand that violation may result in termination of employment/volunteer service, removal from the board, and potential reporting to law enforcement.
