TRACY KELLER

Director

Tracy is CEO of Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast and a long-time foster and adoptive parent. She has fostered nine children and adopted four. With a background in nonprofit leadership and civic engagement, Tracy brings passion and experience to every part of her work.

What Tracy says inspired her to join the TFFC board:

“We wanted a family and had been trying for some time. When we learned that hundreds of children were in foster care in our city, many waiting for forever families, we immediately signed up to start the home study process. After several short term placements and a roller coaster of a parenting journey, we became a forever family for four pretty amazing children. Our children were the recipients of Christmas gifts even after only being in foster care for just over a week. There had been so many appointments and so much care needed upon intake into the system, we had not been able to yet prepare for a Christmas with young children. The gifts we received were perfect for the children, and truly a Christmas miracle for me. When I found out that TFFC did this work, I immediately became involved. The most surprising thing I have learned about foster care is how huge the village of support is for our families. The village is filled with plentiful resources, caring experts, and supportive people who have championed our family’s success, hope and love.
