Sarah is a veteran social worker with a Master of Social Work degree and more than 40 years of experience. She currently leads special projects at The Up Center and has held roles at United Way, EVMS, CHKD, and other major organizations. Sarah brings decades of wisdom and leadership to the TFFC board.
What Sarah says inspired her to join the TFFC board:
“I am a social worker at The Up Center, an agency that provides foster care, and I am AMAZED at everything TFFC does to support all involved with foster care from the agencies and city’s foster care initiatives, to foster parents, foster siblings and to children in foster care. TFFC plays a vital role and does it with a high level of professionalism and outcomes.
As a member of our community, I want every child to have the best start in life with caregivers who are nurturing and loving. As we all do, I personally benefit from all the love and work that others do to provide for children who directly benefit from a strong foster care network of supporters and services.“
