CHUCK GRAY

Director

Chuck is the founder and president of Youth Solutions, Inc., a mental health and family outreach nonprofit based in Norfolk. He has a background in community support for families facing trauma and generational challenges. Chuck and his family are deeply rooted in the Hampton Roads area.

What Chuck says inspired him to join the TFFC board:

I deeply admire the families who open their homes to foster children, providing them with the safety and stability they need to overcome life’s challenges. The foster care system plays a vital role in safeguarding our youth’s futures, ensuring every child has the opportunity to grow in a loving and supportive environment. To all foster parents; you are the unsung heroes, offering hope, comfort, and a foundation for a brighter future. Your selflessness and compassion make a lasting difference.

In 2011, I founded Youth Solutions, Inc. (Infinity Counseling Group) with the mission of supporting families in crisis. We provide outreach and assistance to those facing multi-generational substance abuse, ineffective parenting, abuse, and mental health struggles. Our services offer a confidential, non-judgmental space where youth can express themselves freely and develop healthy coping skills.

Growing up in humble circumstances, I understand the challenges these families face. Helping foster children build resilience and find purpose has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It’s shocking to learn that foster children are at a higher risk of developing PTSD than some war veterans, this highlights the urgency of our mission.
