Elizabeth Stuart is a seasoned communications, marketing, and business development executive with a global career spanning the nonprofit, corporate, media, and philanthropic sectors. As a Board Member of The Friends of Foster Care (TFFC), she brings deep expertise in strategic communications, public affairs, brand development, and community engagement in service of children and youth in foster care. Elizabeth currently serves as Senior Vice President of Communications and Business Development at The James Barry-Robinson Institute (JBRI), where she leads national and international business development for residential and foster care services and oversees comprehensive communications strategy, including media relations, foster care recruitment messaging, and creative production.
At JBRI, Elizabeth has led high-impact, mission-driven campaigns such as Hugs on Mugs and the transformational Foster Care Myth Campaign, which produced the largest cohort of prospective foster parents in more than 30 years and was named a national finalist for the 2025 Nonprofit Communications Award. Her work reflects a deep understanding of foster care systems, public perception, and the power of storytelling to drive community action. As a TFFC Board Member, Elizabeth applies this experience to strengthen organizational visibility, advance strategic growth, and ensure that children and youth in foster care are seen, supported, and surrounded by communities equipped to help them thrive.
