AMANDA PINE

Development Director

Amanda Pine is the Development Director at The Friends of Foster Care where she leads fundraising strategy, manages major donor relationships, and oversees revenue generation. Amanda is the child of a foster child and has been a foster parent where she witnessed firsthand the gaps in service that foster children face.
At Christopher Newport University, Amanda was a double major in Sociology with a concentration in Anthropology and Philosophy with a concentration in Religious Studies. Following undergrad, Amanda went to seminary at Union Presbyterian Seminary where she got her Masters in Christian Education. She also has her certification in Community Organizing and Congregational Leadership from Johnson C. Smith Seminary and is a certified Christian Educator in the Presbyterian Church (USA).
Amanda’s passion for systemic change extends to her community involvement. She is Vice President of Lafayettte-Winona Civic League, Co-Moderator for the PC(USA) General Assembly Committee on Representation, and co-chair of Interfaith Alliance at the Beach. Amanda lives on an urban farm in Norfolk with her two boys, Maxwell and Preston, husband Alec, three cats, and eight chickens.
