Christy is a real estate broker and former TV producer with deep roots in community service. She’s served on several nonprofit boards including CHKD, Norfolk SPCA, and Virginia Stage Company. Her background in media, business development, and charity work makes her a versatile and passionate advocate for foster youth.
What Christy says inspired her to join the TFFC board:
“My aunt and uncle were foster parents for as long as I can remember. At family gatherings, we always knew there would be a few extra cousins, and they were such a blessing to our family. While saying goodbye was never easy for my aunt and uncle, I know they made a lasting impact on the lives of the children they cared for.
Chuck Gray introduced me to TFFC, and I immediately felt it was a great fit for me. As someone new to the world of foster care, I’m learning so much, especially about the challenges these children face in school and the critical need for tutoring, mentorship, and support. It’s been an eye-opening experience, and I’m eager to continue to make a difference.”
