Deana Malek is a Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for Henrico County with over 25 years of experience. Deana specializes in violent crimes cases and heads up the Special Victims Sexual Assault and White-Collar Crimes Divisions. Deana previously ran the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Division, where she worked closely with the Courts and other county departments in the area of juvenile justice. Prior to joining the Henrico Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Deana was an Assistant Attorney General with the Criminal Litigation Section of the Virginia Office of the Attorney General, and also served as a Senior Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Richmond Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office. Deana is a graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law. She serves on boards in both the nonprofit and education sectors and is passionate about advocating for and enacting positive change within her community.
