How much of my donation is deductible?

For most gifts, TFFC provides no goods or services in exchange for a contribution — in that case, your entire donation is tax-deductible.

For some donations — for example, tickets to a fundraising event, sponsorship packages, or other giving that includes a benefit in return — only the portion of your gift that exceeds the fair market value of what you received is tax-deductible.

Your Stripe receipt states whether goods or services were provided for your specific donation and, if so, their estimated fair market value. Use that figure together with this page when claiming your deduction.

For your records

Please keep this page together with your donation receipt. The IRS generally requires written acknowledgment for any single contribution of $250 or more; your Stripe receipt, referencing this disclosure, satisfies that requirement.

This page is provided for general information only and isn't tax or legal advice — please consult your tax advisor about the deductibility of your specific contribution.
