As Tutoring Assistant, Nora is responsible for ensuring our students and tutors are aligned for success both geographically and by academic subject. In her short time with us, Nora shared she is, “in awe of the impact tutoring can make to the overall vibrancy of these children. I am delighted to be a part of such a meaningful experience.”
Nora is recently retired from Elevance Health, parent company of Anthem, Inc., as Business Change Director, where she led process improvement programs for the Fortune 20 company. She also held positions with Anthem, Inc. in marketing and communications and as Marketing Director, stood up the provider marketing division for the organization. Nora’s career includes Public Information Officer for the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and Marketing and Communications Manager for the Transportation District Commission of Hampton Roads (HRT). She was also founder of Grey Matter & Company, a regional advertising and communications agency where she provided pro bono work for local non-profit organizations.
A Norfolk native, Nora can be found most weekends on the Eastern Shore in her home away from home in Kiptopeke. Her husband, ML, son and grandson (both Justin) and their golden retriever, Tucker, will most assuredly be along for the fun. Her daughter, Katelyn, lives in Oklahoma City with grandpup, Spot.
